Message from the Chairman

I have had time to reflect this evening on the incredible work that has been undertaken today and over the winter months and just wanted to share my gratitude to all of those individuals and organisations who help push our club forward.

We have made significant improvements…

Roll on covers for Potterne Park have been purchased and transported thanks to Logiscom in Ferndown and we shall now be streaming our games online via Frogbox thanks to the incredible donation of 3 Line Electrical who made that possible.

We have also taken ownership of some new mowers for the outfield and square which I know will improve our playing surfaces.

Today we installed the replacement nets at Alderholt as a result of a brilliant crowdfunding campaign that resulted in some very generous donations from members and local businesses as well as organisations in the community to whom we are very grateful.

Earlier this month we launched our incredible new range of playing kit and training wear from VX3 all of which are blazoned with Struan Financial Advisors who have generously committed to another 3 years as our principle sponsor in a club record deal.

On the pitch our fantastic group of coaches have been working there magic with 18 junior players representing the county which is by far a club record. We have also made some excellent signings who have immediately bought into the club ethos of trying to drive us forward both on and off the pitch and possess the selfless values that are at the centre of our club culture.

On a personal note, this year was the first opportunity I had to go on tour and the comradery between the players of all ages and abilities was apparent and made me reassured that we have established the right culture. On tour, we played a very established and high-performing club and this showed me that our journey is not finished and we have much work to do to improve our facilities in order to take the club to the next phase of our development.
I am encouraged that meetings have been scheduled this week with Dorset Council to try and further unlock the club's potential at Potterne Park and I shall update you shortly. I am aware that many of our members are seeking updates and some reassurances that improvements are progressing to match our club's current growth trajectory.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of you who push this club forward. I am proud to chair a committee of forward-thinking and passionate volunteers who are determined to drive not only the club but the game forward for our community.
