As usual we will be hosting a set up day to get everything ready for the forthcoming season. Volunteers are required at Potterne Park from 9am usually through to the afternoon to tidy up, sort out and get everything ready for the season.
BBQ will be fired up for those who attend for Bacon rolls
If you can spare an hour or the day please pop on down, many hands make light work!
Some of the Jobs we need to complete so were in tip top shape for the start of the season.
- clear out reorganise , machinery and kit container
- tidy up centre container make presentable eg remove flaky paint for ceiling
- update safeguarding noticeboard
- check first aid kits
- repaint scorebox?
- drop centre container step as door does not open freely
- cut a bigger grove on machinery container ramp to be able to open on other door.
- sightscreens
- cut grass to left of kit container, to investigate how flat ground is to create a net area.
If you have a battery or petrol powered strimmer please bring it along, once of the tasks we want to try and do is create a net area that can be used by the younger youth players as they transition to hardball.
Spades, Forks, tools, cleaning equipment would also be useful
Our efforts will benefit everyone over the course of the season. So even if you can just spare an hour over the day please try and pop down.
