Membership fees
We are happy for new
players to come along to 2 or 3 practices to see if they enjoy cricket and
want to join the Club. However if you want to come along to more than
2 or 3 sessions we will expect you to become a paying member.
Junior membership to
Verwood Cricket Club is £20 per year and includes a club shirt when first
joining.
Kit
Players will be
expected to play matches in a white shirt and white trousers. Club
shirts are available for purchase from Chris Jolliffe (Club Treasurer).
The majority of junior matches are played on artificial wickets so it is
generally best to wear trainers although there may be occasions when it is
possible to use spikes. We recommend that all players have their own
box. Please make sure that your child is appropriately attired to keep
the box in place – loose fitting boxer shorts are therefore not appropriate.
Please note that
junior players will be required to wear helmets when batting. The Club
is able to provide kit (eg, bats, pads, gloves, helmets etc) to any player
who does not have their own kit.
