Wednesday 7th May away to Witchampton B
Verwood won the toss & put Witchampton in to bat. They set about their task well finishing on 125 for 2 off their 12 overs. D.Thompson the pick of Verwood's bowlers (4-0-33-2).
In reply Verwood started slowly but soon upped the pace & finished just short of the target on 117 for 3, helped by a solid 37 from A. Richmond & a brilliant 44 not out from M.Richmond.
Wednesday 21st May - away to Pavilion sports
This was Verwood’s first match against pavilion sports in the Wimborne evening league, played at the Winton oval.
Verwood, winning the toss choose to bat first. Despite a brisk start from L.Hancock (23) & a speedy finish from M.Richmond (28*) they finish on 108 for 6 off their 14 over’s.
Pavilion sports batting was solid, they passed 108 losing only 2 wickets, D.Thompson (4-0-35-1) the pick of Verwood bowlers.
Wednesday 4th June – Home to Pokesdown Willows
Verwood won the toss & choose to bat first. With a fine 63 from L. Hancock Verwood finished on a respectable 141 for 4 off 14 over’s.
Pokesdown Willows reply started at the gallop staying ahead of the run rate throughout passing the target in the 13th over for the loss of 6 wickets, their No.2 batsman finishing 100*, C.Gajic (4-0-33-4) the pick of Verwoods bowlers.

Witchampton won the toss & choose
to bat first. Good line & length from all 5 bowlers & some great
fielding restricted the visitors to 95 for 8 off their 14 overs.
Losing just the 1 wicket Verwood past 95 with 2.1 overs left to earn a much needed 2 points. A.Richmond (34*)returning to the team, the pick of the batsman.
Wednesday 2nd July – away to Bransgore
Bransgore won the toss & choose to bat first. The home team started briskly & maintained a good strike rate throughout their 14 over’s, finishing 183 for 5. C.Gajic (4-0-50-3) the pick of Verwood’s bowlers.
Despite losing a wicket in the first over the visitors stayed just behind the required run rate until the 10th over, four quick wickets then ended any chance of victory. Verwood finished 131 for 8, L.Hancock(38) the pick of Verwoods batsman.
